We’re always on the move at Billigblomst, but in every part of the business we try to work based on our tree core values

Integrity:
We act with integrity toward each other as colleagues, whether in our garden centers or our administration. This also extends to our customers and partners. While we have a polite self-service model in all our centers, we’re always happy to guide and answer questions with a smile whenever possible. We expect our colleagues to act with integrity in all aspects of their work. With our partners, we aim for timely communication and complete transparency.

Flexibility:
Flexibility is essential across all parts of our business. We adapt to the market, respond to our competitors, and align with customer demand. Internally, flexibility means being willing to step into various roles – no one is “too important” for any task. For example, you might see our owner, Brian, restocking plant tables on a Saturday morning in Aarhus, or our CFO moving carts on the opening day of a new garden center.

Business Acumen:
Being skilled merchants is key. We must have the right products, at the right price, at the right time. This demands a lot from our buyers in the administration and from our colleagues in the garden centers, who have a significant influence on purchasing for their own center. We ensure that what we buy aligns with our concept and contributes to our ongoing success.

There are many types of employment at Billigblomst. We aim to reflect the society we live in. And we are all different – thankfully!

For example, we have employees in flexjobs at several of our garden centers, including Mette, who works in Sønderborg.

Mette says about working at Billigblomst:
"I am employed in a flexjob here in Sønderborg, and before, I have worked in various other places. I have primarily worked with people, and I can definitely say I do that here at Billigblomst too! Good colleagues are important to me, and we certainly have that here at Billigblomst.

What has surprised me is how many products we handle. We have many customers coming through, so it makes sense, but still, I thought, wow!"

Grow with us strategy

As part of our "Grow with us" HR Strategy, we support the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and have chosen to actively work with Goals 3, 5, and 10.

Good Health and Well-Being: It is important to us that everyone thrives in their work. Therefore, we conduct annual well-being meetings between leaders and employees. Additionally, we offer health insurance to all our colleagues.

Gender Equality: At Billigblomst, the gender distribution is 62% women and 38% men, and we are continually working to ensure a balanced distribution, both in our garden centers and in our administration. In the management of our garden centers, 31% are women and 69% are men. We see it as a strength to have a diverse workplace, including factors such as gender, age, and ethnicity.

Decent Work and Economic Growth: At Billigblomst, we work under proper conditions. We have agreements with HK for retail positions and with 3F for gardening roles. Additionally, we regularly conduct a workplace assessment and focus on both mental and physical well-being in the workplace.
